The company builds, owns, and operates wireless communication assets across Canada. Aurora leases space on its assets to wireless communications companies and assists companies deploying their mission critical networks. Aurora is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the company's growth across Canada and with its wireless partners.

Role Overview

Aurora Towers is seeking a Business Development Manager to support the company's growth across Canada's wireless infrastructure portfolio. This role works closely with the VP of Business Development to support customer relationships, opportunity development, and pipeline execution across towers, rooftops, new site build search rings, and other portfolio opportunities.

The position is ideal for a driven, personable professional who is detail-oriented, comfortable engaging with external stakeholders, and eager to grow within a fast-paced business. The role offers exposure to both commercial and technical aspects of wireless infrastructure while building strong foundational experience in business development.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Customer Support

  • Achieve and surpass assigned sales performance objectives and quotas on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

  • Understand the target markets, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to attract clients

  • Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects

  • Manage the sales activities of the assigned territory or customer

  • Negotiate with clients

  • Understand our services, our competition in the industry and positioning

  • Collaborate with the management team to develop sales strategies to improve market share

  • Help maintain and update customer relationship tracking and CRM tools

  • Support preparation for customer meetings, presentations, and pipeline reviews

  • Manage competitive market database tracking carrier activities, market share, and contract follow-up

  • Promote Aurora through direct and indirect sales and marketing channels

  • Other duties as assigned

Presentations & Materials

  • Prepare high-quality presentations, proposals, and marketing materials

  • Support development of customer-facing decks and site packages

  • Ensure materials are accurate, polished, and aligned with Aurora's brand

Opportunity & Site Analysis

  • Support analysis of sites and portfolios including: Towers, Search ngs for new site opportunities, Rooftops, Large portfolios and development opportunities

  • Learn and utilize platforms such as Asset Market and internal tools

  • Help track opportunities from early identification through execution and evaluate site feasibility, location, and market relevance

Market & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with and provide support information to municipalities, developers, landlords, and other external stakeholders as needed

  • Assist in large-scale customer lease negotiations and collocation reements

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, real estate, site development, finance) to support opportunity advancement

  • Help maintain organized records, trackers, and documentation

Qualifications & Background

  • 3-7+ years of experience in telecom business development, marketing, real estate, infrastructure, or a related field

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Confident, personable, and comfortable engaging with external stakeholders

  • Not shy, able to follow up, ask questions, and build rapport

  • Telecom or infrastructure experience is an asset but not required

  • Backgrounds in marketing, real estate, planning, development, or consulting are welcome

  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset

  • Valid Government Issued Driver's License required

  • Domestic travel approximately 20-30% of the time for customer meetings, site visits, and stakeholder engagement

Compensation (Indicative)

Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience and market standards

Commission Incentive Plan: Performance-based commissions tied to direct revenue generation, including:

  • Execution of new tenant leases and lease amendments

  • Execution of build-to-suit agreements with customers for new tower construction
